_*Bhonsale College of Pharmacy Celebrates 'World Pharmacist Day' — Shripad Kulkarni Honored as ‘Pharmacist of the Year’.....*_
_Yashwantrao Bhonsale College of Pharmacy celebrated World Pharmacist Day today with great enthusiasm. The event featured creative competitions such as Pharma Logo, Pharma Slogan, and Pharma Rangoli, showcasing students’ talent and innovation. The highlight of the day was the presentation of the ‘Pharmacist of the Year’ award to Shripad Kulkarni of Devgad, whose family has dedicated over seventy years to serving the community through pharmacy._
_Chief Guest Shashikant Yadav, Assistant Commissioner (Food & Drug Administration), Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of integrity and advanced education in pharmacy. He appealed students to become skilled professionals without shortcuts, emphasizing that medicine is a life-saving element. In his address, Shripad Kulkarni highlighted honesty, integrity, and discipline as key qualities for pharmacists. He said, “In rural areas with limited healthcare, pharmacists serve as a crucial link. The trust of the people is the greatest honor. This award is the result of our family’s dedicated service.”_
_Anand Rasam, President of the Sindhudurg District Chemist and Druggist Association, noted that the day is celebrated jointly by the association and the college to promote social initiatives and strengthen community engagement. Executive Chairman Achyut Sawant-Bhonsale expressed hope that students would draw inspiration from senior pharmacists like Shripad Kulkarni to become responsible professionals._
_Dr.Vijay Jagtap, Principal of the college, emphasized the institution’s commitment to excellence in pharmacy education and its decade-long contribution to the field. Satyajit Sathe, Principal of D.Pharmacy, spoke on the growth of the Indian pharmaceutical industry and India’s leadership in medicine exports and vaccine production. A commemorative release marked the college’s ten-year milestone._
_The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Adv. Asmita Sawantbhonsale, Chairperson of BKC, administrative coordinator sunethra Phatak, Kulkarni ’s wife and grand daughter, chemist association members, and faculty. The program was organized by Prof. Ankita Nevgi and Dr. Prashant Mali, with Prof. Gauri Bhivsheth as the anchor._
