We’ve all been there, haven’t we? Staring at that shiny new gym membership or the brand-new home workout gear and saying, "I do," to a fitness and well-being life. It all feels so romantic and hopeful in the beginning. 💍🎉

But as with any long-term relationship, the initial spark isn’t enough. The real work begins when the honeymoon phase is over. Suddenly, that gym membership gathers dust or the home workout gear becomes a glorified clothes hanger. Sound familiar? 😅

As high achievers, we're no strangers to commitment. We commit to our business plans, our investors, and our team. So why should committing to our health be any different? Remember, the business can only grow as much as you do. Your health and well-being are crucial to the productivity and energy you bring to your work daily. 🏋️‍♀️💼

Here's a little tough love: Saying "I do" to fitness is the easy part; staying committed to it is where it gets challenging. But isn't that what commitment is all about? Learn how to hip hinge!

The hip hinge is one of the most important exercises for trainees to learn, before starting , , kettlebell swings, and in general for proper day-to-day movements.

It looks simple but many trainees' bending patterns are faulty.

For teaching the hip hinge exercise all you need is a wall and a dowel rod/stick.
Ask your trainee to touch the wall with his buttocks, and make sure the dowel/stick remains in contact with the three points at all times.

A. Head 1️⃣
B. Thoracic Spine 2️⃣
C. Sacrum 3️⃣

Reverse the movement once you feel a big stretch in the hamstrings.
However, individuals with superior hamstring flexibility will be able to descend to the mid-shin level. If you have a short/average hamstring do not try to imitate them!‼️

Some people can lift with a posterior tilt and rounded back and be just fine. This isn’t the majority of the people though. We see people have MASSIVE improvements to their back pain when they learn to hip hinge.👍

I want to help clients and patients succeed beyond quick fixes. I want to help them:


  • Learn to grocery shop and cook, not just follow a meal plan, like a robot, until they can’t follow it any longer.

  • Tune into their own physical signs of hunger and fullness, not just count calories and look to external cues for how to eat.

  • Practice exercise as a regular habit, not take a 2-week trip to BEAST MODE TOWN until their enthusiasm, or their knees, blow out.
