Hi I am Dr Reena and welcome to the 10th week in our 40 week pregnancy series. In this video I share a complete guide to 10th week pregnancy symptoms baby development and important changes in your body.

What Happens in the 10th Week of Pregnancy?
At the 10th week your baby enters the third month of pregnancy. The uterus grows to the size of a large orange and your baby is about the size of an apricot. You may start noticing changes in your body and exciting developments in your baby.

How is the Baby Developing at 10 Weeks?
Facial features are becoming more defined with eyes moving closer together and ears taking their proper place. Major organs are working with the liver producing bile and kidneys making urine. The heart beats rapidly at 160 to 180 beats per minute. Bones are beginning to harden as cartilage transforms into bone.

What Changes Happen in the Mother’s Body?
Your uterus continues to grow causing a heavier sensation in the lower abdomen. Increased blood volume may cause visible veins. Skin pigmentation changes and posture shifts may also occur due to uterus expansion. These changes are normal during this stage of pregnancy.

What Precautions Should Be Taken in the 10th Week of Pregnancy?
Avoid harmful substances such as alcohol smoking and excess caffeine. Maintain a balanced diet rich in nutrients. Follow moderate exercise advice get enough rest and practice stress management. Stay hydrated and attend regular antenatal check ups to ensure healthy pregnancy progression.

Why are Antenatal Check Ups Important in the First Trimester?
Regular antenatal visits help monitor fetal development detect any complications early and ensure both mother and baby remain healthy during pregnancy.

In this video, Dr. Reena explains your baby’s growth, your body’s changes, and practical tips to manage common 9 week pregnancy symptoms like constipation, bloating, heartburn, and fatigue.

Baby Development at 9 Weeks
Your baby is now the size of a peanut. The head is becoming more erect, the neck is forming, eyelids are appearing, and fingers and toes are separating. Tiny arm and leg movements may even be seen on an ultrasound.

Your Body’s Changes in the 9th Week
As your uterus grows, your waistline may thicken. Pregnancy hormones slow digestion, often leading to constipation and bloating. Fatigue and heartburn are also very common at this stage.

How to Manage Constipation During Pregnancy
Slowed digestion is uncomfortable but normal. Small dietary adjustments, staying hydrated, and gentle physical activity can ease constipation and bloating.

How to Deal with Heartburn During Pregnancy
Rising progesterone levels relax the esophageal sphincter, causing that burning sensation. Simple food and lifestyle changes can bring quick relief.

Pregnancy Tiredness Remedies
Feeling constantly tired is common in the ninth week. Resting more, drinking enough fluids, and trying light activities such as walking or prenatal yoga can help maintain energy levels.

Best Nutrition at 9 Weeks Pregnant
Focus on calcium, iron, and vitamin D rich foods such as cheese, spinach, sprouts, lentils, and sardines. These nutrients support your baby’s bone development and your overall health.

Alcohol can make social situations feel easier because it temporarily reduces anxiety and lowers inhibitions.

But the boost in confidence is short-lived and often comes with consequences, from poor judgment and risky choices to hangovers and long-term health issues like liver damage.

It’s natural to want to feel more comfortable around others, and many people turn to alcohol for that quick fix.

The truth is, real connection comes from being present with the people around us, not from what’s in your glass.

Choosing to skip alcohol can mean clearer decisions, safer behaviors, and more genuine relationships.

Breast Lump
