How much to feed? What consistency? When to start?

Here’s your ONE-STOP solution 👇

✨ When to start weaning?
Start at 6 completed months while continuing breastfeeding.

👶 6–8 Months
• 2–3 meals/day
• 2–3 tablespoons per meal
• Consistency: Thick, creamy, mashed (not watery)
• Start with: Rice porridge, dal mash, mashed banana, apple puree, vegetable puree.

👶 8–12 Months
• 3–4 meals/day + 1–2 healthy snacks
• ½ cup per meal
• Consistency: Soft, mashed, slightly textured
• Add: Khichdi, upma, idli, curd rice, well-cooked vegetables, egg yolk.

👶 12–18 Months
• 3–4 meals/day + 2 snacks
• ¾–1 cup per meal
• Consistency: Soft family foods, finely chopped
• Offer: Chapati soaked in dal, soft rice, paneer, vegetables, fruits, eggs.

⚠️ Remember:
✔ Food should be thick enough to stay on the spoon
✔ Avoid honey before 1 year
✔ Introduce one new food at a time
✔ Continue breastfeeding up to 2 years and beyond
