📣 The most profound and unlikely act in history has been done. Many leaders have come and gone, but here is one whose story refuses to be silenced-one who is said to have risen from the dead. He appears quietly to a few, not with spectacle or fanfare.
📣 Surely, this calls for a triumphal parade, a bold proclamation of power. But what does He choose to do?
👉🏽 He makes breakfast. For His friends.
"When they got out of the boat, they saw a fire of burning coals there with fish on it, and some bread." - John 21:9
🌸 He chose something familiar, relational, and deeply restful.
A meal.
A moment.
A presence.
🤔 Does this not upend our assumptions of greatness? Does this not invite us to reimagine what it means to lead, to serve, to live?
💪🏽 Jesus doesn't rush to re-establish influence. He invites His friends to eat. And through this, He teaches us what grace truly looks like in rhythm.
"Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly." Matthew 11:28–30 (MSG)
🌾 If we want to do His work, maybe we need to first watch His rhythm. His is not the rhythm of Christian nationalism or grasping for power. It’s the rhythm of surrender-of shared meals, of fellowship, of love extended in ordinary spaces.
