The wise say that ‘eyes are the windows to the soul’. Eyes are very important for survival. But how do eyes and vision work? When light reflects from an object and enters our eyes, it creates an image of that object on our retina with the help of our pupils. The best part is, the image is created upside down. Now imagine seeing your loved ones upside down. Funny, right? However, thanks to our brain, it has the wisdcom to re-orient the image and rotate it back to its normal state.
This results in vision and being able to see the object as it is. All this happens faster than the speed of light. What a masterpiece by nature! And we still manage to easily neglect this gift, not taking too much care.
Now, when no lights reach your eyes, no images form. That’s why you don't see anything in the dark. However, there can be other reasons for this too - natural or medical.
Only a person without eyesight understands its importance. Like Mrs Mali, she has been blind for nearly 34 years. A mystery illness robbed her of her vision.
