In Case Respiratory Acidosis/Alkalosis.
(Respiratory Opposite)
For example:-
In respiratory acidosis
PH "DESCREASES".
PO2 "DESCREASES".
PCO2 "INCREASES".
In respiratory alkalosis
PH "INCREASES".
PO2 "INCREASES".
PCO2 "DESCREASES".
IN ABOVE YOU CAN SEE THE OPPOSITES OF EACH OTHER HENCE :- CALLED RESPIRATORY OPPOSITE.

In Case of Metabolic Acidosis/Alkalosis
(Metabolic Equal)
For example:-
If in case of Metabolic Acidosis
PH "DESCREASES".
HCO3 "DESCREASES ".

In Case of Metabolic Alkalosis

These are Important 5 H and Important 5 T which can cause immediate death of patient.
ACLS protocol for emergency lies in this 5 H and 5 T
Hence Smart Doctors never forget or ignore it..
5 H includes...
1)Hypovolemia:- Excessive Fluid loss in body can causes death of patient.. should be ignored.

2)Hypoxia:-
Low oxygen saturation is one of the cause of fatal death of patient...

3)Hydrogen ion:-
Derranged level of ABG can create increase in mortality.

4)Hyper-/hypokalemia:-
K levels should be maintained.

5)Hypoglycemia:-
Always monitor sugar levels in ICU and wards.

6)Hypothermia:-
Maintenance of body temperature is also must .
1)Toxins:-
Toxicity is main cause of death.
2)Tamponade(cardiac)
Fluid accumulation in pericardium which needs urgent pericardial tapping.
3)Tension pneumothorax:-
Air accumulation in thorax which needs urgent insertion of chest tube.
4)Thrombosis (coronary and pulmonary):-
- Kill the thrombus before it kills you.i.e Thrombolysis.
5)Trauma:-
Brutal Accident causing life threatening trauma is also cause of immediate death of patient.
