"Management Of Large Direct Pseudosacs In Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Surgery"

Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia repair is a safe and effective alternative to open inguinal hernia surgery with benefits like less pain and faster recovery, especially for bilateral hernias or in patients with a history of previous hernias, but its success is highly dependent on the surgeon's expertise and can be less reliable in less experienced hands.
In case of large direct hernias, Pseudosacs should always be managed either by plication or fixation to coopers ligament so as to obliterate the space that in turn prevents mesh migration in large Pseudosacs, reduces or prevent seroma formation, alleviates patient anxiety by minimizing the inguinal bulge in post operative period.

Not all Hiatus Hernias need surgery.

The patient, an elderly gentleman with BMI of 36kg/m2, Diabetes on Insulin and Hypertension had ventral and bilateral inguinal hernias from last 20 years not willing for Bariatric Surgery. He was advised two stage surgeries for hernias outside with use of costly implants. We could complete his surgery in single stage that too in cost effective manner using E-TEP approach.

Stump Appendicitis with Abscess is less common condition that occurs once patient has been operated for acute appendicitis before and some remnant of appendix is left behind due to various reasons.
Hereby sharing a case of elderly gentleman who underwent Laparoscopic Drainage Of Stump Appendicular Abscess With Stump Appendicectomy by us. He was operated by open surgery for acute appendicitis some seven years back and was advised open surgery outside this time also. We could complete his surgery by Laparoscopy giving him benefit of Minimally Access Surgery and he went home uneventful.
