we extend our heartfelt congratulations on your appointment as the Drug Controller of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Your selection reflects your distinguished service, integrity, and expertise in pharmaceutical regulation and public health. We are confident that under your visionary leadership, the Drugs & Food Control Organization, J&K, will reach new milestones in ensuring access to safe, effective, and quality medicines.
We also hope your kind attention will be given to the long-pending issue of non-registered students, bringing much-needed relief to many aspiring professionals. So that they get license to open their medical shops etc.

JOIN US TOMORROW TILL 11:50 AM.

J&K Medical Assistant/Pharmacist Students Association is going To meet the Health Secretary at Civil Secretariat, Srinagar on 31st July 2025.

In light of the recent recruitment notification issued by JKSSB, which has regrettably excluded trained and qualified Medical Assistant/Pharmacist diploma holders from applying for Pharmacist posts, the Association is compelled to raise this grave concern with the highest health authority in the Union Territory.

It is both perplexing and unjust that institutions like SKIMS continue to recognize and recruit Medical Assistants for Pharmacist roles, while JKSSB persistently denies eligibility to the same cadre, despite identical academic training and practical exposure.

We believe that such discriminatory exclusions contradict the very spirit of equity, transparency, and meritocracy in public recruitment.

Our demands are simple, rational, and just:
If trained Medical Assistants are deemed competent and eligible for Pharmacist roles in SKIMS and other premier health institutions, why should the same standard not apply to JKSSB posts across J&K?

We seek parity, recognition, and fair opportunity
nothing more, nothing less.
