Post Embryo Transfer Diet โ What Should You Eat After IVF? ๐ธ
One of the most common (and confusing!) questions after embryo transfer is about diet. The good news? Thereโs no need for drastic changes. Just focus on simple, home-cooked, balanced meals that support implantation and overall health.
โจ Key Dietary Guidelines After Embryo Transfer:
๐ฅ Balanced Diet is the Key
Include all major nutrients in the right proportion.
๐ฅฉ Protein-Rich Foods
Paneer, chicken, fish, red meat (in moderation), milk, curd, and all dals like masoor dal, rajma, and channa dal help support healing and hormonal balance.
๐ Fruits & Vegetables
All fruits are allowed except Papaya, pineapple and grapes.
All vegetables can be consumed, but avoid raw vegetables to prevent bloating.
๐ง Stay Well Hydrated
Water, milk, curd/lassi, and fresh homemade juices are recommended. Hydration is especially important during fertility treatment, as progesterone can cause constipation.
๐ Carbohydrates
Rice and home-made roti are absolutely fine. Avoid maida-based foods as much as possible.
๐ฅ Dry Fruits (In Moderation)
Soaked almonds, walnuts, or apricots (preferably soaked overnight and eaten in the morning) are beneficial.
โ Caffeine Intake
Limit tea and caffeine. Excess tea can cause gastritis, especially when youโre already on multiple medications.
๐ซ What to Avoid
โข Outside/junk food
โข Very spicy or heavily masaledar food
โข Food myths like โno oil at allโ โ a small amount of oil is perfectly okay
๐ผ Remember:
There is no strict or special diet chart after embryo transfer. Just maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle with simple home food.
