*Hamdard e Kupwara and Radio Chinar 89.6 Join Forces to Launch Drug Awareness Campaign in Kupwara*

Kupwara, — In a pioneering initiative, 41 RR Humdard e Kupwara, in collaboration with Radio Chinar 89.6 Kupwara/Sopore , and Drug De-addiction Centre Kupwara has initiated a comprehensive series of Drug Awareness Programs across High Secondary Schools in Kupwara. The inaugural event took place on 9th of November, at Panzgam Higher Secondary School, marking the commencement of programs scheduled for 17 other higher secondary schools in the region.

Drs. Syed Junaid Dr Sameer, Dr Farooq, Dr Faheem, Mr.Mudasir Bhat and Tabasum delivered insightful analyses and information on drug addiction, along with preventive measures, engaging students in a competitive format. The program involves selected students from Higher Secondary administration delivering five-minute speeches on drug addiction. The standout speakers will advance to a grand finale hosted at Degree College Kupwara, where the top three students will be awarded cash prizes. This innovative approach aims not only to instill enthusiasm among students but also to familiarise them with education related to the pressing issue of drug menace.

Experts on the same topic will visit each selected Higher Secondary School to impart scientific and social education on drug addiction, emphasizing its profound impacts on society. This initiative aligns with the broader mission of fostering awareness and proactive measures to combat the menace of drug addiction within the student community.

Present at the inaugural event were Lt Col. Prashant Company Commander Panzgam, Station Manager of Radio Chinar 89.6 Kupwara, the Incharge Principals of the concerned higher secondary institution, and other distinguished dignitaries. A commendable turnout of 3000 students actively participated in these programs, demonstrating the collective commitment towards creating a drug-free and informed society.
