Voluntary Medicare Society(VMS) in collaboration with Composite Regional center (CRC) Sringar is organising an aids and appliances distribution camp at sub center Sangrama District Baramulla, near agriculture office on Thursday, 1stJuly, 2021. Rehabilitation experts will be available who would provide their expert advice to Persons with disabilities (PWDs). In addition they would help beneficiaries and their families through the working of these assistive equipments/ devices.
Already assessed beneficiaries on June 17, 2021 will be provided with free assistive devices.

Note: This camp is only for the residents of district Baramulla.
Beneficiaries are requested to bring all the necessary documents along with them for smooth distribution.
Timing : 10:30 am onwards.

Apart from distribution camp vms has also made arrangements for assessment and measurement for orthotics of children with physical disabilities on the same day.

Keeping up the distribution action of "covid 19 distribution aid", today on 18/06/21 Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) marched towards Budgam district to deliver timely succour to more than 60 families with imperative aids to 2 covid positive patients , 3 spinal injury patients and general medicine for 21 beneficiaries.
Distribution back up included ration kits, necessary daily gears for the spinal injury patients consisting of catheters (Foley, condom,silicon),urine bags, betadine lotions, Hydrogen peroxide solutions ,megaheal gels, xylocaine jelly and adult diapers. Apart from this safety gear items like disposable gowns, disposable face masks, disposable hand gloves, sanitizers, hand washes, and important covid medicines were provided to the needy beneficiaries.
VMS is trying it's best to reach out the needy and deserving persons with it's covid emergency relief.

Baramulla,17 June: Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) in collaboration with Composite Regional center (CRC) organised an assessment cm awareness and vaccination camp for persons with disabilities ( PWDs) at sub centre Sangrama Baramulla, near agriculture office. During the camp more than 74 PWDs were provided assessment services for aids and appliances by Rehabilitation Proffesionals of VMS and CRC. Keeping in view the COVID situation special care was taken to follow all the SOPs. Vaccination team from SDH sopore also provided their services during the camp by vaccinating the beneficiaries. All technical and field staff of VMS sub centre and CRC facilitated the event for its success.

2. Intellectual, visual disabilities.
3.Speech and hearing impairments.

Amid covid restrictions school staff provided 55 online sessions to children with special needs,the professionals of sub centres of VMS attended beneficiaries through online and offline mode.some of the staff members were bussy in attended the covid positive cases.
Covid emergency relief report:

Oxymeter for two covid positive patients.
Oxygen concentrator for one covid positive female patient from Sopore.

Today, Voluntary Medicare Society(VMS) team reached out to the most remote area of district Kupwara to cater to the needs of beneficiaries amid COVID-19 crisis. Our staff provided food kits and medicines to the needy beneficiaries particularly PWDs and COVID positive cases at their door steps.More than 60 families were provided with ration kits, medicines and other daily need items. In addition to ration COVID positive families were provided with medicines and safety gears.

VMS is also supporting COVID wellness center at Babadem Sringar, a joint initiative by SMC, VMS and Ehsaas by providing services of professionals and free ambulance services for COVID positive patients.

Our Special educators and therapists at Shafaqat Inclusive School provided individual classes & advise on physical exercises to children with special needs. More than 56 online sessions were conducted today.besides 35 beneficiaries were attended physically in srinagar main centre & in 4 sub centers of vms at Bla, Kupwara, Leh & Kargil.

Today team VMS is being travelling to kupwara district of Kashmir valley, which is a backward frontier district full of dense forests and rich wildlife and is situated near about 85 kms from district Srinagar. The north west part of the District is bound by line of actual control while the southern portion of the District are hilly. Taking into consideration their dilapidated and almost unconnected habitation VMS after identifying more than 60 families in need is on its way to this rural hilly area which will be benefitted with ration kits, medicine and other daily need items. Also there are 2 covid positive families of 9 members who will get covid medicine, safety gears along with ration kits.
