Vivek Bali Demands 20,000 Jobs for Kashmiri Pandits to Facilitate Their Return to the Valley

Srinagar, 6 April:- Vivek Bali , State President , Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), has strongly supported the long-pending demand of Kashmiri Pandits for dignified rehabilitation and has called upon the Government to create 20,000 (jobs) to ensure their safe and sustainable return to the Kashmir Valley.

Addressing the media, Vivek Bali stated that the return of Kashmiri Pandits is not just a political issue but a matter of justice, identity, and restoration of the Valleyโ€™s rich cultural heritage. He emphasized that without proper employment opportunities, housing, and security, any rehabilitation plan would remain incomplete.

โ€œProviding jobs to Kashmiri Pandits is essential for rebuilding their confidence and ensuring their permanent settlement in the Valley. The Government must take immediate steps to create at least 20,000 jobs as part of a comprehensive rehabilitation package,โ€ he said.

Vivek Bali further urged the administration to engage with community representatives and formulate a time-bound roadmap for the return and resettlement of displaced families. He also stressed the need for special economic packages, educational support, and infrastructure development to make the return process viable.

He reiterated that SBSP stands firmly with the Kashmiri Pandit community and will continue to raise their issues at every platform until justice is delivered.

The meeting witnessed the participation of all key provincial office bearers, including Senior Vice President Haji Abdul Qayoom Beigh , Convenor Muneer Phalgaroo , Vice President Shahnawaz Ahangar , General Secretary Ferooz Najar , along with prominent senior office bearers Noor Mohd Bhat , Manzoor Ishbari , Maajid Gulzar, Haji Fida Mohammad, Bilal Pathan, Mukhtar Wani , Afzal Parimoo , Saleem Shah , and District President Srinagar Syed Parvez Raja.

After threadbare and exhaustive discussions, the Association expressed deep anguish and serious concern over the persistent neglect and inordinate delay in addressing employeesโ€™ legitimate demands. The house unanimously resolved that the following long-pending issues must be addressed immediately and without any further procrastination:
1. Placement of Store Keepers as TSOs in OPG:-
The Association strongly reiterated its long-standing and justified demand for the placement of Store Keepers as Tehsil Supply Officers (TSOs) in their Own Pay and Grade (OPG).
