Chief Executive Officer of the Yousmarg Development Authority, Reyaz Ahmed Beigh, today visited the scenic destination of Yousmarg to assess ongoing developmental works and outline future plans aimed at strengthening its status as a premier tourist hub.
During the visit, the CEO inspected the progress of infrastructure upgrades, including the development of modern tourist facilities. Particular attention was given to the proposed Gondola project, which is expected to significantly enhance visitor experience and elevate Yousmargโs appeal at the national level.
Emphasizing the importance of seamless accessibility, Reyaz Ahmed Beigh reviewed measures to ensure all-weather connectivity. He directed officials to prioritize the maintenance of roads and access points so that Yousmarg can evolve into a reliable year-round destination, benefitting both tourists and the local economy.
The visit also focused on eco-tourism and sustainable management practices. Discussions were held on improving the regulation of cattle movement and organizing horse trekking trails to strike a balance between tourism growth and environmental preservation. The objective is to promote responsible tourism while protecting the meadowโs natural ecosystem.
In addition, the CEO evaluated the potential for winter sports development, particularly skiing slopes, to diversify tourism activities beyond the summer months and attract adventure enthusiasts during the winter season.
The visit reflects the administrationโs continued commitment to planned, sustainable, and inclusive development, aimed at positioning Yousmarg as a model eco-tourism destination in Jammu and Kashmir.
