PIC - Poor Quality Day 3 Embryos -
1. Uneven blastomeres
2. Fragmentation +++
3. Fragile zona pellucida
Only 3 poor quality MII oocytes were retrieved in first IVF in a low AMH patient. ICSI was performed causiously to avoid any degeneration or leaking of cytoplasm while ensuring formation of embryos.
On day 3, poor quality cleavage stage embryos were developed and were freezed as development till day 5 did'nt seem to be promising.
FET cycle was planned and all three embryos were transferred.
GOT POSITIVE RESULT WITH 400 BETA VALUE.
Conclusion - Never ever underestimate poor quality oocytes & embryos especially in low AMH patients. As an embryologist, we just need to give our best as we can and be positive always.
