There could be instances of a child diagnosed with T1DM going off insulin on starting a millet diet, with the likely reason that the child is in "honeymoon phase" where the 'pancreas is able to secrete small amounts of for a short time before packing up completely
Another possibility is that the child is misdiagnosed as T1DM but actually has T2DM

Kindly consult a good before you stop insulin and check bloodglucose very often, i.e. before and 2h after each meal
