Union Minister of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will be holding a live session with students from across India today. He will be holding a live session through his social media platforms at 4 pm today. The minister has asked students to share questions with him and he is expected to resolve queries of students in the live interaction scheduled today.

On the International Day of Non-Violence and as part of the grand finale of the two year long celebrations of 150 years of Mahatma Gandhi, on October 2, Ambassador H.E. Partha Satpathy, along with Chief Guest First Deputy Foreign Minister H.E. Emine Dzhaparova, Deputy Education Minister H.E. Andrii Vitrenko and Vice Rector of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University Professor Petro Beck inaugurated a Bronze Statue of Mahatma Gandhi in the heart of Kyiv, in AV Fomin Botanical Garden.

In honour of Mahatma Gandhi’s methods of satyagraha and non-violence and his vision for a peaceful world, the area in the park around the statue has been named the “Oasis of Peace”.

Special thanks to Government of India, Government of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Sciences of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko National University and the Kyiv City Administration for making the event a big success.

Good news for foreign medical graduates!!
Mci under supersession of Bog has released the new advisory that nowonwards INTERNSHIP from any country outside India will be valid in India and will be counted in the duration of Mbbs course.. There is no need to do separate internship in India after doing Mbbs from abroad.

Embassy is happy to announce the beginning of special flights from Ukraine to India. The tentative schedule of the first set of flights is:

Kyiv- Lucknow, May 26
Kyiv- Jaipur, May 28
Kyiv- Ahmedabad, May 29
Kyiv- Chandigarh, May 30
Kyiv- Delhi, May 31

Ambassador H.E. Mr. Partha Satpathy has undertaken a review meeting and Embassy is working out next steps for the return of fellow Indian citizens from Ukraine.
