We are proud to share that Nirmals Eye Hospital had the opportunity to be part of the National Refractive Error Survey in school children under the aegis of the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS).

As part of this national programme, we were responsible for Kanchipuram district screening.

Under the aegis of AIOS, we screened:
• 3,000+ school children in Kanchipuram district (study component)
• 14,000+ children and teachers overall in the last two months

We are honoured to receive appreciation from AIOS for this work and for successfully completing the district screening programme.

This updated edition builds upon NABH’s commitment to advancing safe, ethical, and patient-centric practices in ophthalmic care. The standards provide a robust framework to enhance clinical outcomes, streamline processes, and ensure quality-driven service delivery across eye care facilities.

🎙️ Spreading Awareness on Glaucoma – World Glaucoma Week 2026

As part of the World Glaucoma Awareness Week – March 2026, our MD Dr Nirmal Fredrick had the opportunity to share important messages on Glaucoma awareness through a special radio programme on Suryan FM 93.5, in association with the Glaucoma Se Savdhaan – Voice for Vision initiative.

Glaucoma is often called the “silent thief of sight” because vision loss can occur gradually without noticeable symptoms. Early detection through regular eye examinations plays a crucial role in preventing irreversible blindness.
