Doctors association jammu condemned inspection of doctors by junior officers .

DAJ raise objection on Inspection/ Scrutinizing of Doctors attendance by Junior revenue officers.
In recently announced changes powers are decentralized from LG office to various administrative levels in order to scrutinize and streamline working culture in government offices across the union territory
Doctor association Jammu congratulate honourable LG saab for excellent governance. Speaking on occasion Dr Balvinder singh President DAJ
appreciated this move. He said that if all the government machinery will work efficiently, this militancy affected part will flourish and achieve all milestones in timely manner J&K will outshine from rest of states.
Briefing about the system he expressed his concern about reports received from various health centres across the Jammu Division where for purpose inspection/ checking attendance of doctors junior revenue officers were sent by SDM office. He expressed anguish and condemn such kind of work culture where a junior officer sent to ascertain the functioning of his senior gazetted officer.
We are not against daily inspection of office attendance but for said purpose as ordered by LG office SDM is authorized officer. Explaining about duties in health centres, in some pheripheral hospital only one doctor is appointed and that doctor is running Phc 24*7 . Doctors duty is according to roster that can only be understood by a medical profession. He further suggested that in order to maintain dignity of doctor, inspection team should comprise of either a doctor or some other gazetted officer not below their rank. Junior revenue officers sent in peripheral Hospitals for scrutinizing attendance of doctors is humiliating for senior most doctors. He urged the administration to consider demand of doctors for better coordination and efficient work culture at the same time dignity, honour and sanity of profession is maintained.

Deeply saddened by news of untimely demise of Dr Akash Jerath who was pursuing DM nephrology at AIIMS Delhi.

Dr Akash was a brilliant student of GMC jammu throughout his career.
