I am a Yoga Therapist & Wellness consultant certified from Yoga Vidya Niketan & Apollo Hospitals. I have been practicing yoga for the last four years and teaching yoga professionally for the past 2 years. My yoga sessions are innovative since they are customized according to the physical & psychological needs of the learner. I love giving personalized attention because I love seeing bodies change. I am adept at handling lifestyle disorders like arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, back disorders, stress related disorders et al. I constantly emphasize on anatomy so as to explain the WHY behind a pose so students fully appreciate the value of the movements they are performing. I have also undergone training as a ballet and jazz dancer from the Danceworx Performing Arts Academy which helps me experiment with music and movement. I have good communication skills and experience in teaching a variety of classes and students of all age groups. My Teaching Style
The focus of my teaching is awareness. That’s why technique, breath and movement are very important for me. My yoga practice and teaching is continually evolving through a combination of playful exploration and dedicated study. In terms of overall approach I initially focus on opening up the body with basic joint movements, posture and alignment. Once the muscles are warmed up and ready, opening up the spine is the most important step so that one can experiment more with different postures. The second step is to lengthen the tight muscles followed by strength and stamina development. Following are some of the styles I teach:

My classes are a blend of mindful slow flowing relaxing postures to strong energizing sequences to release layers of tension in the body-mind. The sequence and intensity of the class vary in accordance with student’s experience, energy and ability. I also focus on chanting mantras, guided relaxation, and meditation for mental and emotional well being.
