Siddha Medical Association of India Organizes Notable CME and Workshop on Integrative Cosmetology in Alappuzha
Alappuzha: As part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations and the 9th Siddha Day observance, the Siddha Medical Association of India (SIMAI) organized a highly successful one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program and workshop. The event, themed "INTEGRATIVE SKIN CARE IN COSMETOLOGY," was hosted by the Alappuzha-Pathanamthitta District Committee.
The program commenced on Republic Day, January 26, at the Royal Park Hotel in Alappuzha. Following the National Anthem, the session was presided over by SIMAI State Treasurer Dr. Rohini S. Krishnan, and officially inaugurated by SIMAI State President Dr. Mithun C.
Insightful Sessions and Practical Training
The classes were led by Dr. Naseera Abdul Hameed (Medical Officer, Kannur District Ayurveda Hospital), a prominent figure in Kerala's Ayurvedic Cosmetology sector.
* Morning Session: Focused on the fundamental principles of cosmetology and scientific skincare routines.
* Afternoon Session: Provided practical guidance for medical professionals on establishing their own cosmetology clinics, followed by a hands-on workshop on facial techniques.
Organizers announced that more online and offline CME programs and workshops will be conducted in the coming days to further expand the scope of Siddha Cosmetology.
Key Highlights of the Event
* Welcome & Thanks: SIMAI Joint Secretary Dr. Rahul V.A. delivered the welcome address, Vice President Dr. Raji Raj offered felicitations, and State Council Nominee Dr. Sanghamitra S. proposed the vote of thanks.
* Honoring the Guest: Dr. Mithun C. presented a memento to the guest of honor, Dr. Naseera Abdul Hameed, while Dr. L. Sivakumar presented the traditional shawl (Ponnada). Dr. Raji Raj handed over the 'Certificate of Appreciation.'
* Certification: Certificates were distributed to the 36 doctors who participated in the training.
SIMAI officials emphasized that such training programs are a significant asset to the advancement of Siddha medicine and help in utilizing its potential in the modern era.
