Universal Treatment Curriculum Exciting Training Update

Dale View recently hosted an offline training session on Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) 7 and 8 on Substance Use Disorder Treatment, officially endorsed by the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme. The training welcomed participants who had previously completed UTC 1 to 6.

As an approved training provider for The Colombo Plan, Dale View facilitated a comprehensive program, featuring sessions led by esteemed experts: Mr. Francis Moothedam, Global Master Trainer at UNODC and The Colombo Plan, and Ms. Leebamol, Clinical Supervisor at The Dale View Care Point.

We are thrilled to share that the feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive, and many are now preparing to take the certification exams.

🌟 Practical Exposure to Biomedical Waste Management at The Dale View Care Point 🏥

Students of The Dale View College of Paramedical Sciences were immersed in a hands-on learning experience on Biomedical Waste Management at The Dale View Care Point today. This valuable session was a pivotal component of their Diploma in Health Inspector course, aimed at equipping them with essential skills in healthcare waste management.

Under the expert guidance of Ms. Smitha, Staff Nurse at The Dale View Care Point, and supervised by Ms. Vanamala, Lecturer at The Dale View College of Paramedical Sciences, the students gained insights into the advanced methods employed in the Enhanced Substance Use Disorder Treatment Centre. The facility adheres strictly to universal standards for managing biomedical waste, ensuring utmost safety and environmental responsibility.

The session provided a comprehensive understanding of the processes involved in handling biomedical waste within hospital settings, overseen by IMAGE IMA. Students actively participated in practical demonstrations and discussions, enhancing their knowledge and practical skills crucial for their future careers as health inspectors.
