ഇന്ന് ലോക എയ്ഡ്സ് ദിനം. പ്രതിസന്ധികളെ അതിജീവിച്ച് എയ്ഡ്സ് പ്രതിരോധ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ മുന്നോട്ട് എന്നതാണ് ഈ വർഷത്തെ എയ്ഡ്സ് ദിന സന്ദേശം. സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് പ്രതീക്ഷിത കണക്കിന്റെ 83 ശതമാനം രോഗബാധിതരെയും തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതില്‍ 95 ശതമാനത്തിലധികം പേര്‍ക്കും ആന്റി റിട്രോ വൈറല്‍ (എആര്‍ടി) ചികിത്സ നല്‍കാനും സാധിക്കുന്നു. രോഗബാധിതരായ 99.8 ശതമാനത്തിലും വൈറസ് നിയന്ത്രണവിധേയമാക്കാനും സാധിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭയുടെ സുസ്ഥിരവികസന ലക്ഷ്യം അനുസരിച്ച് 2030 ഓട് കൂടി പുതിയ എച്ച്ഐവി അണുബാധ ഇല്ലാതാക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലാണ് ലോകരാജ്യങ്ങൾ. പ്രായപൂർത്തിയായവരിലെ എച്ച്ഐവി സാന്ദ്രത ഇന്ത്യയിൽ പോയിന്റ് 0.20 ആണെങ്കിൽ കേരളത്തിൽ അത് 0.07 ശതമാനമാണ്. നമ്മുടെ നാട് എച്ച്ഐവി സാന്ദ്രത കുറഞ്ഞ സംസ്ഥാനമാണെങ്കിലും കഴിഞ്ഞ മൂന്നു വർഷത്തിനിടെ 4477 പേർക്ക് അണുബാധ ഉണ്ടായി എന്നത് ആശങ്കാജനകമായ കാര്യമാണ്.

എച്ച്ഐവി ബാധിതർക്ക് ചികിത്സ, പരിചരണം, പിന്തുണ, സേവനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ ഉറപ്പാക്കേണ്ടതും ഇതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് സമൂഹത്തിൽ നിലനിൽക്കുന്ന വിവേചനങ്ങൾ ഇല്ലാതാക്കേണ്ടതും അത്യന്താപേക്ഷിതമാണ്. ഇതിനായി സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് ഏകോപിതമായ ഇടപെടലുകൾ നടന്നു വരുന്നുണ്ട്. ബോധവത്കരണ, പ്രതിരോധ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിൽ പങ്കാളികളായിക്കൊണ്ട് എച്ച്ഐവി ബാധയെ പ്രതിരോധിക്കാം. ഈ ലോക എയ്ഡ്സ് ദിനം നമ്മുടെ കൂട്ടായ പരിശ്രമങ്ങൾക്ക് കരുത്ത് പകരട്ടെ.
