9-13 September 2024 | Retreat - Yoga & Meditation as tools for internal research and well-being.
Yoga philosophy proposes a gradual path of practice that moves from the grosser aspects of human experience to the more subtle ones. The purpose of these practices is to overcome conditioning and limitations of the ordinary mind and come into contact with our deepest nature.
When contextualized correctly, these teachings can therefore become valid tools for introspection and inner research, aiding in better mental health and well-being.
Through a regular Yoga practice it is in fact possible to deeply relax the body and make the mind elastic, flexible, focused and capable of understanding the deepest aspects of the self.
During this intensive retreat Swami Santhi Prasad will discuss in depth the philosophy and the main theoretical aspects underlying meditative practice according to the Indian yoga and ta***ic tradition, contextualising them in relation to the life experience of a Western practitioner.
In this way, the reference theories as well as the practical aspects of meditation are explained starting from the meaning they have for the growth of an individual and for the improvement of his well-being and quality of life.
