High Surgical Risk? There’s a Cool Alternative.

We recently treated a 50-year-old patient facing a double challenge: a 2cm renal tumor and significant cardiac comorbidities that made traditional surgery a high-risk option.

The Solution: Instead of a nephrectomy, we chose Cryoablation.
• Step 1: A precise needle biopsy was performed to confirm the nature of the lesion.
• Step 2: Using image guidance, we inserted specialized cryoprobes directly into the tumor.
• The "Freeze": Extremely cold temperatures were used to create an "ice ball," destroying the tumor cells while leaving the healthy kidney tissue intact.

The Result: A successful, organ-sparing treatment with minimal downtime and, most importantly, no major impact on the patient's cardiac health.
