Cancer Prevention Center Cancer Prevention Center is a joint initiative of Cancer Institute, Adyar and Krishna Hospital - providing cancer awareness, diagnosis and treatment.

Cancer Prevention Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people in rural areas about cancer prevention, conduct screening camps to help early detection and diagnosis of cancer and provide timely holistic cancer treatment at an affordable cost. It was inaugurated by Dr. V Shanta, Chairman, Cancer Institute, Adyar on 2nd Oct 2011 at Tirunelvelli as a joint initiative of Cancer Institute, Adyar, and Krishna Hospitals Tirunelvelli. Under the able guidance of Dr Shanta and her team, Cancer Prevention Center has successfully established a low cost cancer care program in Tirunelvelli. It has conducted over 200 screening camps benefitting more than 14,000 persons in Tirunelvelli district. Cancer Prevention Center also has a tie up with Harvard Medical School under the leadership of Dr Rajan Devar to train its staff in cancer screening and testing.
