How much cervix dilation is needed for normal delivery? 🤔👶

During labor, your cervix slowly opens to help baby move out.
Normal delivery usually happens when cervix reaches 10 cm dilation ✅

Cervical dilation stages:
1️⃣ Early labor: 1–4 cm
2️⃣ Active labor: 4–7 cm
3️⃣ Transition: 7–10 cm (intense stage)

Once you’re 10 cm, baby is ready to come into the world 🌍💛

What is a Forceps-Assisted Vaginal Delivery? 👶🤰
During labour, if the baby needs help coming out, doctors may use forceps — special curved instruments to gently guide the baby’s head out.

It is used when:
✔️ Mother is too exhausted to push
✔️ Baby's heartbeat is dropping
✔️ Labour is too long or not progressing
✔️ Baby’s head is low & almost out

What is a Vacuum-Assisted Vaginal Delivery? 🤔👶
Sometimes during labour, when pushing becomes difficult or baby needs help coming out, doctors may use a soft suction cup called a vacuum.

This technique helps:
✔️ If the mother is too tired to push
✔️ If labour is prolonged
✔️ If baby's heartbeat drops
✔️ To avoid emergency C-section in some cases

Vacuum delivery is safe when done by trained doctors ✅
Baby may have mild swelling on the head — it goes away in a few days 😊
