Jaw clenching (also called bruxism) is often an early sign of chronic stress or anxiety.

When a person is under stress, the body remains in a “fight or flight” mode for long periods. This causes the jaw muscles to tighten unconsciously, especially during sleep or moments of tension.

🧠 Why it happens
Stress and anxiety cause muscle tension in the jaw.

Suppressed emotions (like anger or frustration) may express as clenching.

Poor posture or prolonged focus (e.g., working on screens) can worsen it.

⚠️ Early signs to notice
Soreness in the jaw or temples

Headache (especially in the morning)

Clicking or popping sound in the jaw

Tooth wear or sensitivity

Tightness in neck or shoulders

🌿 Tips to manage
Practice jaw relaxation: gently open the mouth and massage jaw muscles.

Try deep breathing or meditation to lower stress hormones.

Avoid chewing gum or hard foods.

Use warm compresses to relax muscles.

If severe, consult a dentist — they may recommend a mouth guard at night.

Steaming vs Boiling......

🔹 Boiling

Process: Food is completely submerged in hot water (100°C).

Pros:

Quick and simple.

Softens tough foods (like potatoes, pulses).

Cons:

Many vitamins (like C and B-complex) and minerals leach into the water.

Overcooking can make food mushy and reduce nutrient value.

Best for: Pulses, rice, eggs, or foods that need soft texture.

Steaming

Process: Food is cooked by steam from boiling water, not directly in it.

Pros:

Retains nutrients better (especially heat-sensitive ones).

Preserves color, texture, and flavor.

Requires no oil — makes it healthier and low-calorie.

Cons:

Slightly longer cooking time.

Not suitable for all foods (e.g., dry grains).

Best for: Vegetables, fish, idlis, momos, etc.

Steaming is generally healthier than boiling because it preserves more nutrients, flavor, and natural texture while minimizing fat use.
However, the best method depends on the type of food and desired outcome......
