Tips for Healthy Heart
Take the stairs instead of an elevator or escalator at school or the mall. Just start with one flight. Soon, you'll be ready for two. This is very common practice to keep your heart healthy
Park your car at the far end of the parking lot. The short walk to and from the store or school helps your heart.
If you ride a bus or subway, get off a stop before your destination. Walk the rest of the way for healthy heart.
If you can, spend a few minutes of your lunch break taking a stroll around the campus grounds. It should help you stay awake after lunch.
Think of housework as an extra chance to exercise. Vacuming briskly can be a real workout.
Cut down on salt: Too much salt can cause high blood pressure, which increases the risk of developing coronary heart disease. Avoid foods like crisps, salted nuts, canned and packet soups and sauces, pizzas and ready meals. Many breakfast cereals and breads that appear healthy also contain high levels of salt, so keep your eye on these too. These are common precautions to avoid hear diseases and keep your heart healthy
If you have a family, schedule an after-dinner walk. Make it quality time.
Stop smoking. Nourish yourself with a handful of sunflower seeds and a cup of nettle or oat straw infusion daily for 4 to 6 weeks before quitting. Sunflower seeds reduce the body’s craving for ni****ne by filling the ni****ne receptor sites. The infusions strengthen blood vessels and nerves and cushions the impact of withdrawal.
Touch and be touched. Many scientific studies have shown that people who were touched lovingly every day had significantly fewer heart problems than the control group.
Know Your Family Health History: If your father or mother died of a heart attack or suffered from heart disease, you are more likely to be at risk and should be more aware of how to control risk factors. Don't ignore possible symptoms.
Monitor Your Alcohol: Too much alcohol can damage the heart muscle, increase blood pressure and also lead to weight gain. Binge drinking will increase your risk of having a heart attack, so you should aim to limit your intake to one to two units a day.
Check for Diabetes: Increased blood sugar can be a factor in the onset of heart disease, especially if you are 20-45 kg (50-100 pounds) overweight. Controlling the disease is often just a matter of losing extra pounds, exercising regularly and following a heart-healthy diet.
