What happens when we take a life-saving cause to a place where ideas begin - the campus?

ALERTATHON Campus Edition 2025 of course! We bring to you a unique student-led mission that envisions empowering the common man in first aid and emergency response.

The prestigious campus of IIT Madras comes alive in its first of its kind endurance event dedicated to the cause of Saving Lives, in association with SAMANVAY.

We are honoured to have the esteemed presence of Mr. V Shankar, Director of Acsys Investments Pvt. Ltd and Founder of CAMS as the Chief Guest, and a distinguished alumni of IIT Madras to flag off this impact-driven event. Led by the future generation - students of DoMS IITM, flagged off by the distinguished IIT Madras alumni, at the prestigious OAT of IIT Madras campus, the mission to save lives is all set for a new impetus on the 2nd of November 2025.

So put on your running shoes, rekindle your campus spirit, and join the community for a 5km run! Together, we are inching towards Community First Response becoming a civic responsibility.

We are happy to share that we won the Bridgestone Mobility Social Impact Awards 2025

ALERT, wins the Bridgestone Mobility Social Impact award in the Road Safety Innovation and Excellence category out of 93 nominees from across India. Bridgestone India in its 5th edition of the Mobility Social Impact Awards (MSIA) 2025, celebrated organizations that have harnessed mobility to create meaningful social change. The awards were presented in two categories namely Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities and Road Safety Innovation and Excellence. The event, held in Pune, brought together industry leaders, social innovators, and changemakers from across the country. The award was presented by the Managing Director of Bridgestone India.

ALERT was recognized for its continued work towards robust emergency response ecosystem through community awareness and training, policy advocacy, and technology. ALERT has trained over 4.5 lakh citizens in first response and mobilized youth through the ALERT Golden Army with support from medical and government bodies.

“It is a privilege to honour these changemakers who are redefining mobility for social good. Their work reflects our shared commitment to building inclusive, safe, and empowered communities,” said Mr. Hiroshi Yoshizane, Group President, Bridgestone Asia Pacific and Managing Director, Bridgestone India.

Expressing gratitude, Mr. Rajesh R Trivedi, Co-Founder and Managing Trustee, ALERT said, “This award is a tribute to every patron, volunteer, trainer, and citizen who believes that every life matters. At ALERT, we envision an India where every individual is equipped and empowered to act in an emergency. Recognition from Bridgestone India motivates us to take this mission further, saving more lives on our roads and beyond.”

We’re delighted to share that ALERT NGO celebrated its 19th Anniversary at Chennai!

It’s been a remarkable journey of 19 impactful years, empowering common people to become first responders and save lives. As we proudly step into our 20th year, we extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this mission - our volunteers, well-wishers, partners, and supporters.
