A Post Graduate in Food Science & Nutrition from SVT Mumbai with 25 years of experience, she has been associated with a leading hospital in New Delhi handling Therapeutic Diets and later gained decades experience in the field of fitness & weight-management at Talwalkars Fitness Fellowship in Pune . Currently she is practising as a Diet consultant and Lifestyle Management Counsellor in Pune specializing in Weight & Lifestyle management Programmes , Therapeutic diets.(Diabetes, Cardiac & Renal problems , Hypertension , Gout , Ulcers , Disturbed Lipid Profile ), Diets for Pregnant & Lactating mothers , Children ( pre-schoolers to college goers) . She has also devised diets for several sportspersons , athletes, swimmers, golfers and bodybuilders . Counselling is her major forte guiding clients on behavioural modification techniques, positive approaches and stress relieving techniques helping them change their attitude towards diet and exercise and adopt lifestyle changes with ease . She has been a visiting faculty at department of Food Science and Nutrition , SNDT College of Home Science and at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Pune. She is a life member of Indian Dieteteic Association (IDA)

She has delivered lectures to create awareness about diet in various forums , Institutes & Multinational Companies. Also conducted Workshops for the parents of pre-schoolers, schools, colleges & personality development courses. She has also developed a diet & nutrition course for Fitness Professionals. Recipe for Nutrimodaks

Ingredients :
120 g dates
+50 g cashew
+50 g almonds
+ 50g walnuts
+ 25 g muesli (optional)
Procedure :
Make a coarse powder of muesli, almonds, cashew and walnuts
Add the dates and blend together .
Remove in a bowl and knead the mixture well till a smooth dough is formed . Roll into balls and shape into modaks .
Voila !!! Nutrimodaks are ready to eat
No added sugar or fat & no cooking , nutritious & tasty !!

"Dear Geeta,
I am providing you feedback for the program which I began in Jan 2016.
Initially when I looked at the diet you sent across , I was wondering whether I would lose weight as there were no drastic cutouts of food from my regular diet .
But I kept faith and continued seriously with the diet prescribed , I felt comfortable throughout the day and energetic for my work too, also it gave me a good idea how to balance and identify carbs, protein , fibre in my diet and make sure to include all . Losing 500 gm weekly was very encouraging with regular exercise.
I had to travel almost every month and exposed to celebrations but I managed to pick the right food from the buffets under your guidance and that helped to keep the weight in control.
This has helped me a lot as social meetings are unavoidable and sensible eating outdoors is becoming easier to follow.
Under this guidance the entire family is eating healthy as all in different age groups but are able to derive energy and nutrition suitable to them.
Also different combinations and replacement of food has made me relaxed to eat well and not feel guilty .

Dear Ms. Geeta,

I have to tell you that this would personal transformation journey that you have taken me on in these past 15 months have made me realise how simple and easy - and yet wonderful it is to sustain a healthy lifestyle !

When I came to you on Jan 2 2015, weighing a good 72 Kgs, I came with the objective of shedding 10 Kgs under medical advice for a knee problem that I had . I couldn't exercise as I had undergone a knee surgery, and had to rely only on my diet control to shed weight. I was worried as to how I would manage the weight reduction , but even then you were very upbeat and positive and that positivity rubbed off on me ! And the journey began !!

Within the first couple of months, with a few changes to my lifestyle , I started seeing results and this in turn made me fit enough to start exercising ! And now the results where even more easier to achieve !

What I loved about working with you were
1. Your extremely positive outlook : even when I had either slightly gained weight or stayed at the same weight over a month , you would never panic . You would always ask me to relax and continue my diet . There was never any pressure from you to lose weight. This gave me a lot of confidence and made me continue my efforts without worrying about the results !

2. Your focus on health rather than weight loss : you always focussed on a healthy lifestyle rather than a "weight loss" approach ! This is what differentiates you from the million other " weight loss specialists " or dieticians ! While a pure weight loss approach would help achieve rapid results , there is no guarantee that one can sustain it. Your approach probably took longer to start showing results , but after 15 months I can say with confidence that I have completely internalised this new lifestyle and simply love it !

4. The simplicity of your approach . You always stuck to the basics- as I always said to people who asked me how I did it , " what we learnt in 6th grade biology class - a balanced diet " !! And the best part was that you explained the principle and allowed me a lot of flexibility to play around with my diet within those limits ! Moreover you also designed my diet plan according to my cultural and regional background and this made it all the more simple and sustainable ! It even helped my family members change to a better lifestyle !

I renewed my package twice just to make sure I was 100% confident that I can trust myself to sustain it and now I know I can do it !

Today, after shedding a good 10 Kgs of weight , when my friends and relatives look at me in awe and disbelief , and say " you look younger everyday " or "your face is glowing " , I always thank you in my mind and many times acknowledge and appreciate your contribution ! This is not just for helping me achieve this in the past 15 months but more for introducing me to this new lifestyle and making me fall in love with myself all over again !

Thanks a tonne for your guidance and support in this wonderful journey ! I hope many of my friends who need help reach out to you as well !
