Yoga which is an ancient gift from our sages and gurus is now more popular than ever before due to its proven fact for the healthy and stress free life. Yoga is gentle form of physical and mental exercise which enhances our overall well-being by just adopting few life style changes.
The Yoga Association of Chittoor District is the brain child of the Sri S Sreenivasulu Naidu and was registered under the AP stage registrar societies with bearing 206/2015. The YACD is affiliated with other bodies viz Yoga Association of AP (YAAP) district sports authority (DSA), District Olympic Association (DOA), Chittoor.
The YACD has seen tremendous development since its inception.
The training programs, summer camps, district Yoga sports championship, State Yoga sports championship, Independence Day celebrations and Republic day celebrations had been organized under the directions of Govt officials. Many awareness programs where organized where the sack of general public in the free Yoga training classes, world health day free Yoga camps and Rally etc.
The Dedicated and strong team of YACD, With Strong support of YAAP, District sports authority and district Olympic association of Chittoor are instrumental in the paving the path success from day one to till date.
Also the humble support and encouragement by Sri PS Pradyumna IAS district collector, Sri PS Gireesha IAS joint collector of Chittoor, Sri N Amaranathara Reddy Minister of industries for Govt of AP, Dr. N Siva Prasad MP of Chittoor were the remarkable in lifting the YACD in every facet towards success.
YACD mainly aims at removing the cause of physical illness if any, and enhancing the mental well-being that leads to a calm, concentrated and study mind there by helping out in bringing about a positive change in overall health with the qualified Yoga masters and therapists.
The vision of YACD is not only to eliminate stress and helps themselves to enrich our life’s even under stressful situations but also ensuring smooth transition into solid personality.
Yoga is a spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple
meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and
relaxation.
Objectives:
1) To promote the good name of Yoga in Chittoor District and to increase public awareness of yoga
through professionally trained Yoga teachers.
2) To support the aims and objectives of the Yoga association of Andhra Pradesh (YAAP).
3) To arrange and supervise the Yoga championships Yoga camps Yoga seminars Yoga clinic Yoga
workshops and other Yoga contests.
4) To promote research in the safety effectiveness of Yoga.
5) To arrange and provide for the holding of Yoga demonstrations meetings conventions lectures and
classes.
6) To protect preserve and promote Natural and Environmental resources.
7) To provide relief and rehabilitation programs for the victims of natural and man-made disasters.
