I had the privilege of organizing a Gynaec Oncology CME in collaboration with Sterling hospitals and the Baroda Obstetric & Gynaecology Society. The program received an enthusiastic response, with excellent participation and highly interactive academic exchanges throughout the day.
One of the most engaging segments was the Reverse Panel Discussion on “Suspicious Ovarian Masses,” which kept the entire audience actively involved and thinking from multiple clinical perspectives.
We also had an insightful debate between
Dr. Sushma Baxi, Director & Senior IVF Consultant, and
Dr.Mrugal Doshi, Medical Oncologist,
on “Can Fertility Preservation Delay Cancer Treatment?”—a topic of great relevance in modern onco-fertility practice.
The PG Quiz added a fun and energetic learning element, encouraging young clinicians to sharpen their knowledge in gynae oncology.
Dr. Inderpreet Kaur delivered an excellent talk on Post-Hysterectomy Dilemmas, offering numerous practical, day-to-day takeaways for clinicians.
Dr. Vibha Nayak, Medical Oncologist, emphasized the importance of a Multidisciplinary Tumor Board and how collaborative decision-making strengthens outcomes in gynaecological cancers.
Lastly, there was video presentation on fertility sparing surgery in grade 4 endometriosis by Dr Siddharth Shah.
I had the opportunity to speak on Recent Updates in HIPEC, discussing evolving evidence and its role in advanced ovarian cancer management.
Overall, it was a wonderful academic gathering that reinforced the importance of continuous learning, collaboration, and multidisciplinary care in gynae oncology.
Grateful to all faculty, participants, and organizers for making this CME a meaningful success.
