📢 Gujarat Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Rules, 2025
🗓️ Gazetted on: 6th June 2025

✅ What it does:
Finalizes the draft rules published in 2021

Supersedes the following state rules:
- Gujarat Factories Rules, 1963
- Gujarat BOCW Rules, 2003
- Gujarat Motor Transport Workers Rules, 1965
- Beedi & Cigar Workers (Gujarat) Rules, 1968
- Gujarat Contract Labour Rules, 1972
- Gujarat Inter-State Migrant Workmen Rules, 1981

🏭 Applies to:
All Factories, Establishments, and Construction Work under Gujarat State Government jurisdiction

🚦 Commencement Clause:
"They shall come into force from the date on which the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, comes into force."

As of now, the new rules are *not* yet applicable. However, they will only come into effect when the Central OSH Code, 2020 is enforced by the Government of India. (Its matter of time and shortly it will come)
