The Terracotta Cafe located in Varanasi, will offer on the job training and hospitality experience for youth from disadvantaged backgrounds giving them all the skills necessary to gain employment in the hospitality industry. Graduates from the Brighter Futures Study Centre in Delhi & local youth from Varanasi will be given the opportunity to learn valuable cafe skills such as food prep & short order cooking, food hygiene, barista training, waiting tables & customer service. The Terrcotta Cafe will support local farmers & promote the use of organic farming practices in Varanasi. We will work in partnership with organic & sustainable farming education projects in Varanasi. We will also use coffee grown & roasted in India.

We recently had the opportunity to attend Restaurant India 2025 — Mumbai Chapter, representing Terracotta Café. It was inspiring to be in a space where the future of cafés, restaurants, and hospitality is being imagined through conversations on sustainability, guest experience, technology, and mindful dining.

And moments like these remind us where it all began.

Nine years ago, Terracotta was just a small dream — a cosy corner where people could sit, breathe, write, talk, laugh, think… or simply exist with a cup of coffee.

Over the years, familiar faces became family.
Ideas became memories.
And this little café grew a heart of its own.

We’re humbled.
