ELEPHANTS THAT BRING A GOOD LUCK

The elephant symbolizes wisdom and kindness in India. Their images can be found as part of ornament in temples and houses. This seemingly unhurried animal has a very insightful mind and quick reaction.

In ancient times, the elephant was the main helpers of Indians in everyday life. Due to its strength and endurance, it carried heavy loads and tree trunks, and was used as a vehicle in difficult places. Elephants were often caught in the wild and trained to obey man. Although elephants reproduced well in captivity, they could be used for household help only ELEPHANT only from the age of seven.

Despite its huge size, elephants younger than seven years old are still small and weak. Elephants were used in military operations. Dressed in special combat gear, they made a terrifying impression on the enemy, and also served as a command post for commanders who watched the battle from a great height. Riding an elephant, buying a real sandalwood elephant who brings good luck to the house or just taking a selfie with him is another reason to go with us on a yoga tour to India. facilities

EXCOTIC FRUITS OF INDIA: BUDDHA'S HAND

Buddha’s hand is also called fingered citron. This excotic fruit looks like a big lemon with long yellow tentacles that take after crooked fingers. Unlike other plants, the fingered citron does not produce pulp or juice. It is usually admired for its extraordinary form and smell. It is added to deserts or hot drinks as an excotic flavor. Sometimes they sugar-coat the fruit and eat it like that.

PONMUNDI HILL

Ponmundi hill is the golden peak of Kerala. One of the most favorite excursions of our tourists in India is travelling to Ponmudi.

Peace and quietness, cool wind, the picturesque Western Ghats, waterfalls and rivers - all this is Ponmoudi town, located 61 km away from Trivandrum. Ponmoudi is covered with a thick rainforest that slides down to the foot of the mountain. It has got a healing atmosphere and twisted paths run through streams. There is a tea garden as well.

Pomundi is the only possible base for visiting 53 square kilometers of forest designated as Peppar Wildlife Sanctuary inhabited by elephants, sambar deer, lion-tailed macaques, leopards, and various species of birds.

PANCHA GANAPATI (DEC 21 - DEC 25)

Pancha Ganapati is a Hindu festival that lasts for five days to honor Ganesha, one of the most worshiped Hindu deities. Ganesha is venerated as the patron of arts and culture.

The festival of Pancha Ganapati was created in 1985 by Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, an American-born convert to Hinduism. The celebration was conceived as a Hindu alternative to December holidays (Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, etc.).

Pancha Ganapati is a family holiday. All family members focus on sadhana, a special spiritual practice. Pancha Ganapati symbolizes mending of all past mistakes and new beginnings. It is customary to create a shrine with a large statue or picture of Lord Ganesha in the main room and decorate it with leaves, flowers, and hanging ornaments.
