Many patients notice puffy lower eyelids or swelling, commonly called eyelid bags, and wonder about the cause. Here’s what you should know:
• Why they happen: The fat behind your eyes can slowly prolapse forward with age, leading to puffiness, swelling, and sometimes minor blemishes around the eyes.
• Impact: Eyelid bags can cause cosmetic concerns, make you look tired all day, and affect your confidence.
• Treatment: These can be safely treated from the inner side of your eye, leaving no visible scars.

✨ Don’t let eyelid bags, swelling, or blemishes affect your appearance or confidence. So get them treated in the right way today!

In this video, Dr. Harika Regani from iFocus Eye Hospital explains a common eye problem — the sensation of having something stuck in the eye.

Recently, a patient visited the hospital complaining of a “gritty” or uncomfortable feeling. Upon examination, Dr. Harika found a small dust particle stuck on the black part of the eye (cornea).

This is common, especially among people who travel frequently on bikes or are exposed to wind and dust. Small particles like dust, sand, or debris can easily enter the eye and cause irritation.

However, many people make the mistake of rubbing their eyes immediately. Dr. Harika warns this can:
-Spread infection
-Cause small scratches or damage to the corneal surface
-Push the foreign body deeper into the eye

If you ever feel something in your eye, don’t rub it — consider visiting an eye doctor (ophthalmologist) immediately. Only an eye specialist can safely remove the particle without damaging the delicate surface of your eye.

👩‍⚕ Dr. Harika Regani reminds:

“Never ignore eye discomfort or try to remove foreign bodies on your own — timely treatment prevents infection and protects your vision.”
