People working in building felt vibration during the operation of the cooling tower. The vibration monitoring was done with and without the operation of the cooling tower. Measured vibration in the building was checked against permissible limits of human comfort and structural integrity.

Hone SHM is involved in Vibration Monitoring of a stone masonry heritage fort (more than 400 years old) situated in Navi Mumbai. Tri-axial accelerometers are placed at critical locations to anticipate the vibration experienced by the structure due to traffic movement on adjacent highway road. The purpose of the monitoring was to check long-term vibration experienced by fort due to traffic movement against permissible limits and use the captured time-history data in dynamic structural analysis.

Hone SHM is involved in Vibration Monitoring of the floor subjected to dynamic loads from a heavy machinery in an industrial shed in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The machine is installed on the floor and workers at the industry used to feel vibrations during operations. Hone SHM investigated the reasons of the problem and suggested a solution for the same. Vibration amplitude was reduced in the adjacent floor to the acceptable amplitude by some structural changes in the floor system.

The tilt monitoring of the spandrel wall of the bridge was suggested by the principal structural consultant. Tilt monitoring was done in presence of realistic calibrated static vehicular load.
