Dr.S.M.Rathinavel,DIABETES CARE founder has worked with EKAM FOUNDATION at their adopted village VADAMALAIKURUCHI in conducting a free DIABETES DETECTION CAMP on 2/12/2011 between 5-7 PM.About 80 people were benefited and 14% diabetic people have been identified,6% have been identified to have PREDIABETES, and 6% have been noticed to have HYPERTENSION.All these people are planned to have detailed MEDICAL ADVISE REGARDING LIFE STYLE DISEASES LIKE DIABETES,PREDIABETES and HYPERTENSION.

World diabetic day celebrations was organized by DIABETES CARE and AKPS Hospital on 14.11.2011 Monday morning by Dr.S.M.Rathinavel at Laxmi kalyana mandapam,6-8 AM. Function started with fasting blood sugar checking for all who came.Chief guest Dr.Jeevan was received by all the pharma representatives. Dr.S.M.Rathinavel welcomed the gathering and explained about GLOBAL DIABETIC WALK and INSULIN.
Dr.Jeevan gave the speech about DIABETES AWARENESS.He flagged for GLOBAL DIABETIC WALK,which went through meenambigai bungalow,madurai road and nehruji nagar.Participants distributed Diabetic awareness pamphlets on the way.Municipal chairperson Shanti Mariappan,Municipal commisioner Chermakani,Industrialist V.R.Muthu,Nagar nala amaippu treasurer Menakai Kannan,Lions president SPGRN.Rajkumar,Rotary secretary Zaheer,BJP members Chandran,Kamatchi,YSMan Past secretary Chandanathan,KVS MATRICULATION SCHOOL NSS Boys,VVV COLLEGE NURSING STUDENTS,NATIONAL ACADEMY NURSING STUDENTS and other notable persons were the attendants.About 500 persons participated in the program and served as DIABETIC AMBASSADORS.This GLOBAL DIABETIC WALK is the 27th awareness program,and 6th DIABETIC WALK.
