Nootan Medical College and Research Centre (NMCRC), Visnagar has celebrated Graduation of 2020-21 Batch of MBBS in Grand Ceremony at Sankalchand Patel University (SPU) on 31st March 2026
In a night filled with pride and professional promise, NMCRC, a constituent of the NAAC ‘A’ Grade University (SPU), hosted its Graduation Ceremony for the MBBS Batch of 2020-21 on the evening of March 31, 2026. The event, held at the university’s iconic Open Air Theatre, 153 graduates received their graduation certificates, marking their transition from students to medical practitioners.
The ceremony was distinguished by the presence of several luminaries from the medical fraternity. Chief Guest Dr. Nitin Vora, President of the Gujarat Medical Council (GMC), delivered a powerful keynote address, urging the new doctors to balance clinical excellence with deep empathy. The event was further elevated by the presence of Guests of Honour Dr. Anil Nayak (National President, IMA HQ) and Dr. Anil Patel (President, IMA-GSB), who shared insights on the evolving landscape of healthcare in India. Shri Prakashbhai Patel, President of SPU, congratulated the graduates on their resilience, noting that this particular batch represents the future of Gujarat’s healthcare infrastructure. Prof. (Dr.) P. M. Udani (Provost, SPU) and Dr. Vijaysingh Baghel (Dean, NMCRC) highlighted the institution's commitment to producing world-class medical professionals.
The event was attended by parents, family members of the graduating students and faculty members, celebrating the start of a new chapter in their medical career. The atmosphere at the Open Air Theatre was electric as the "tossing of the caps" symbolized the culmination of years of rigorous study and clinical rotations.
