BLUMEA LACERA ,AS HEMOSTAT IN HEMORRHAGIC DISORDERS
ABSTRACT
Conditions like haemoptysis, haematemesis, haematuria, dysfunctional uterine bleeding ,post partum hemorrhage and heavy me**es are common presentations of varied origin and commonly used hemostats or styptics fails to promptly seize the bleeding and their consequent sequel in their therapeutic dose .Indian herb Blumea lacera commonly used as topical styptic in superficial bleeding due to laceration or any injury.
In this study fresh extract of Blumea lacera leaf in dose of 5 ml three times daily with honey or alone proves worth as a systemic hemostat in controlling bleeding of varied origin by promptly seizing the bleeding without any hemato or hepato renal adversity.
CLINICAL EVALUATION OF LEVOFLOXACIN IN MANAGEMENT OF TUBERCULOSIS
ABSTRACT
Declining nutritional and economic status poses increased threat of Kochs lesion even among middle class family. Considering the cost of Anti tuberculosis treatment ,high disease endemicity due to emergence of resistant strain of mycobacterium tuberculosis. A drug regime constituting Levofloxacin 500mg and Isoniazide 300mg was evaluated in freshly detected cases of pulmonary tuberculosis reveals early sputum conversion, resolution or alleviation of presenting features, improvement in appetite, weight gain with limitation of sputum infectivity and disease communicability in 60±5 days,weight gain of6±2kg ,non recurrence or relapse of the disease in 1 yr post therapy follow up, improved lung vitality , body physique and 100% drug compliance with complete safety profile(Hemato, hepato renal function)
INDIGENOUS COMPOSIT IN MANAGEMENT OF DENGUE FEVER
ABSTRACT
Dengue , a vector born viral fever caused by various strain of Flavivirus and transmitted by female Aedes aegyptii,still remain a therapeutically challenged disease in spite of various anti viral drugs (ribavirin, glycyrrhizin and 6-azauridine )are under evaluation, its severity is more pronounced in immuno- compromised patients ,also p[resents with Dengue fever sequel as Dengu hemorrhagic fever and Dengue hemorrhagic shock , a dreaded presentation among children 500mg plasma sugar remain conscious and present their history of illness himself whether earlier at this level patient usually became comatose or presents with various consequent sequel.
The most commonly prescribed therapeutic regime remain either Oral hypoglycemic or insulin supplementation which in turn affects the patient’s psyche and stress predisposes for rise in blood glucose and its sequel.
Majority prescription used to impose burden rather to modify the continuing diet,clinician usually change the brand ,which usually yields with diabetic sequel.
Thus with consideration of bio regulating body metabolism and scavenge free radical from Beta cells of pancreas and increase hepatic utilization of absorbed glucose ,an indigenous herb Withania coagulans fruit extract in dose of 5 fruits with warm water morning and evening been assessed and achieved normoglycemic state in 6 weeks of therapy, lipid bio regulation, spared the continuing OHA or Insulin without any adversity and any alteration in hematologic,hepato- renal functions.
These effects are attributed to-
It increases cellular sensitivity , Insulin binding and glucose uptake, scavenges free radicals from Berta cells of pancreas and modulate Insulin secretion improve metabolism,reduces hypothalamic irritation,promote and bioregulate insulin production in pancreas and improve resting energy expenditure.

RACECADOTRIL IN MANAGEMENT OF INFANT DIARRHEA
ABSTRACT:
