5 ways to elevate your bedroom
1. Start with a calm base
Keep walls and large furniture soft and neutral so the bedroom feels restful and timeless rather than trend-led. A calm base helps the space feel grounded and promotes better rest.
2. Layer textures
Linen, cotton, wool, silk and velvet add depth and quiet luxury. Layer different textures next to each other to create softness and contrast. For example, crisp linen sheets paired with a velvet or upholstered headboard. Ensure cushions and throws differ in texture from the bedding to avoid a flat look.
3. Invest in lighting
Bedside lamps, wall lights or pendant lights instantly soften the room and create a warm, relaxing atmosphere in the evening. Our go-to lighting temperature is 3000K, which gives a cosy glow without feeling too yellow or harsh.
4. Edit your accessories
Less is more in a bedroom. Fewer, larger pieces feel more considered and calming, allowing the space to breathe. Over-accessorising can disrupt the sense of rest a bedroom should provide.
5. Add one statement feature
A sculptural headboard, an oversized artwork, a textured wall finish or a feature pendant can anchor the room. Too many statement elements can make the space feel busy rather than serene.
A considered approach makes all the difference especially in spaces designed for rest.
