بتوجيه من السيد المدير العام الدكتور زيد علي عباس المحترم،
وبالتعاون مع اللجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر في العراق، أُقيمت دورة تدريبية مكثفة استمرت لمدة خمسة أسابيع، بإشراف البروفيسور مايكل بولونن، شملت الأطباء العدليين في دائرة الطب العدلي وأقسامها في المحافظات.
تضمن التدريب تطوير مهارات العمل القياسي في صالات التشريح ومختبرات الفحص النسيجي، واختُتم بامتحان عملي للمشاركين، تلاه توزيع شهادات تقديرية لجميع الأطباء الذين اجتازوا الدورة بنجاح.
تأتي هذه الدورة ضمن جهود الدائرة في رفع كفاءة الكوادر الطبية العدلية وتعزيز مستوى الأداء المهني بما يواكب المعايير الدولية.

Under the direction of Dr. Zaid Ali Abbas, Director General,
and in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), an intensive five-week training course was held under the supervision of Professor Michael Pollanen.
The training included forensic doctors from our Directorate and forensic departments in Governorates
The course focused on enhancing standard practices in autopsy and histopathology laboratories, and concluded with a practical examination followed by the distribution of certificates to all participants who successfully completed the program.
This training comes as part of the Directorate’s ongoing efforts to develop the skills of forensic medical staff and to enhance professional performance in line with international standards.
