Report on the Online Session of NEAR Network on Membership Mechanism and Standards
As part of efforts to enhance coordination among civil society organizations and exchange experiences, an online session was held on the evening of Friday, September 5, 2025, via Microsoft Teams. The session was organized by No Borders Humanity Organization and Darya Organization for Women’s Development to discuss the membership mechanism and standards of the NIR Network.
The session commenced at 8:00 PM with welcoming remarks from the two coordinating organizations, followed by an overview of the agenda and objectives of the meeting.
The first segment included a comprehensive presentation on the NIR Network, covering its establishment, objectives, fields of work, and its role in supporting civil society and strengthening the capacities of member organizations.
The second segment focused on explaining the membership mechanism and standards, where the conditions for joining, the rights and responsibilities of members, and the practical steps for application and admission were presented.
In the third part of the meeting, the floor was opened for discussion and participant inputs, moderated by:
• Mr. Mohammed Amin, President of Darya Organization for Women’s Development and member of the NEAR Network.
• Mr. Ammar Al-Ghurabi, President of No Borders Humanity and member of the NIR Network.
The session concluded at 9:30 PM with the presentation of key recommendations, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation among members, expanding participation, and adopting clear steps for the next phase, ensuring the activation of the NIR Network’s role as a supportive platform for civil society.
