Pardis Technology Park (PTP)
Region's Technology Paradise
Pursuing the goals of commercialization of the research results and establishing sustainable ties between University and Industry Pardis Technology Park, the horizon of development of the country hi-tech industries and, the center for developing the technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is established implementing the vision of “to become the most important Technology Free-Zone in the west of Asia”, according to the 20 years perspective horizon of the country. In 2001, the primary cores of the park formed by the President Office for Technology Cooperation and, Sharif University of Technology and, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, as the top universities in the Middle East, were the collaborators to this project. As the Region's Future Technology Paradise, Pardis Technology Park is supervised by the Presidency Organization and, its 14 member board of trustees is composed of officials from ministries, science centers and scientists. The park is located at 20 km distance to the eastern north margin of Tehran, on an area currently by 38 hectares (with expansion horizon of 1000 hectares) and, in two phases. Phase 1 is named Innovation Paradise, by the area of 20 hectares hosts 80 technology companies and, phase 2, knowledge
Paradise is located at an area of 18 hectares. This park is located at the Trade and Academy cross- roads of the country, 85 km far from the Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) and, with easy access to the country main motor roots towards the south, east and west, Europe, Central Asia and ECO member countries, Persian Gulf countries and, Common Wealth and Transcaucasia
