"How to feel your (difficult) feelings?"
- I am deeply touched by the episode of „Touchful Podcast”, recently recorded by my Dear Lomi Teacher, Aloha Magdalena. 🌺

There is so much wisdom in it, deepened by sharing personal, life experiences.
Magdalena talks about why we tend to suppress our emotions and shares some simple, healthy ways of how to let them out.
❕There is a very important message to be reminded of.
- When we hold our emotions back, suppress or put them aside – it doesn't mean they disappear. There is a high probability that they will stay and make us feel heavy, numb or less energized, creating tensions or diseases.
We tend to think that as adults we shouldn’t be „too emotional” - but there is the same necessity to feel all the feelings, embrace them, process and let them out at any stage of our lives.
It's a part of our experience as human beings and there is nothing to be ashamed of! 🙂
It’s just a matter of tools we can use as grown-ups to do it in a healthy way.🛠️
I think that it’s actually a part of basic personal hygiene, required to have clean mind and healthy body. As important as other beneficial habits, like eating nutritious food🥑, staying hydrated💧 or having the right amount of sleep💤.
More and more I am finding my own ways of dealing with intense emotions.
In the moment of sadness/anger/irritation, I love to grab my bike 🚴♀️ and pedal with full power, making a conscious decision to feel what’s there, checking with myself what kind of message these emotions have for me, turning them into a driving force at the same time... breathing them out, crying sometimes if I feel the need.
Sometimes I dance 💃 and shake things out or just dip myself in cold water💧 – feeling every single emotion fully, imagining that they dissolve in that water.
For me and many of my clients, Lomi Lomi Nui massage is also a beautiful way to let the difficult feelings out – dealing even with the ones, which are already stored somewhere deep down, on an unconscious level. It’s a very gentle process, where the body receives a lot of care, and attention - having a safe space to be comfortable enough to let go. 🍃
Thank you Aloha Magdalena for sharing so many encouraging words! 🤍
