BEFORE ➡️ AFTER!

I love seeing transformations in my patients and more importantly that babies feel more comfortable in their bodies. This makes happier parents too, knowing their kids feel better!

My favorite is the last photo 😮

Some reasons I see kids in the clinic:

* Ear pain
* Stiffness in body
* Torticollis (head to one side)
*Difficulty crawling, rolling over, tummy time
* Breastfeeding issues
* Stomach pain, gas, reflux
* Restless, uncomfortable (carseat, laying on back, tummy time)
* Difficult birth
* Just want to check

Máni kom til okkar þegar hann var eins mánaðar gamall👶🏼

Foreldrum Mána fannst “banana lagið” hans vera að hindra hreyfigetu hálsliða svo hann g*t aðeins litið til hægri (sjá mynd 2)🍌

Máni átti einnig erfitt með hægðir og svefn almennt😵‍💫

Eftir u.þ.b. Fjögur skipti hjá okkur var hann hættur að líta út eins og banani og farinn að líta um sig í allar áttir (mynd 1)📡

Þá var mikil bæting á nætursvefni og daglúrum Mána og hann var farinn að kúka daglega💩

Þetta er bara ein af fjölmörgum velferðarsögum okkar frá meðhöndlun ungabarna á 📚

Algengar ástæður fyrir komu barna:
• Óeirð
• Röng staða barns við fæðingu
• Notkun sogskála eða tanga við fæðingu
• Magaverkir, rembingur og bakflæði
• Svefnerfiðleikar (dags/nætur)
• Barnið tekur illa brjóst
• Bakverkir/hryggskekkja
• Álagstengdir verkir
• Höfuðverkir eða ógleði
• Fótapirringur
• Styttri löpp
• Foreldrar koma með barnið í “check”

Meðhöndlun okkar er einkar mjúk og snýst að því að koma hrygg barnsins í sitt besta mögulega stand svo að taugakerfið geti starfað óáreitt🧠

Mikil og góð umfjöllun hefur skapast inná mömmuhópum nýlega og erum við gríðarlega þakklát fyrir hana🥳

Now I have to go have a baby and take care of him! ⁣

It’s difficult to leave a job I love doing so much, but I will be back 💁🏼‍♀️⁣

In the meantime will take great care of all the babies and kids. He has been watching my work for the past few months so you are in good hands. ⁣

When I started with this little guy his mom told me he “didn’t like being in his tummy” which usually means something is bothering him in the neck or shoulders. ⁣
⁣
Babies don’t “like” or “not like” something, they just know what feels good and what doesn’t and are just trying to tell us. ⁣
⁣
Tummy time is natural and part of healthy spinal development! ⁣
⁣
This photo shows a normal tummy posture for his age and he is one happy boy! So glad I was able to help 🤗⁣

It’s been bittersweet saying goodbye to my amazing patients especially when I’ve been watching them grow up! ⁣I love my job and it’s just the highlight of my day when I get to help these littles feel better. ⁣
