“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”

Gudmundur Kristjánsson, the CEO and biggest owner of the fishing company Brim is very concerned about the Icelandic language or tongue. Recently he bought 3000 copies of the children book “Small dreams and big dreams” and gave the lot to children school.
The secretary at the golf buddy group “Stullarnir” has been sentence for 1 month prohibition of playing golf at Reykjavik Golf Club. He was found guilty of using an illegal software system when he was booking tee times for him and his golf buddies.
Eythor Arnalds, the leader of the Independence Party in Reykjavik and a City counsel member has declared that he wants to be the leader for next four years. Another City Counsel member from the same party, Hildur Bjornsdottir, also want to be the leader.
The Icelandic oil search company, Eykon Energy, has been put to sleep. The company had a license to search for oil under the sea at the Dragon Area, which is north of Iceland.
The financial minister of Iceland, Bjarni Ben, wants to put taxes on green energy. He says that the Governments Funds cant be without money to maintain or build new roads.
The Christmas book flood is rising in Iceland. On the weekly top 10 list for the most selling novels is the author Arnaldur Indridason with his new book, Sigurverk (Victory Works) but the crime stories queen, Yrsa Sigurdardottir is close behind him, nibble on his heels, with her new book, “Lok, lok og læs. (Shut, shut and lock)”.

There is a light at the end of the horizon. After a long time of technical and finance problems NFI aka NewsFromIceland might be back. Investors from a place far from Iceland, a place called Namibia has shown an interest to support the media. These guys knows that there is more to the world than fish. Hopefully there will be some kind of offers related to some merchandise of all kinds related to this deal. ... we will keep you informed, because NFI is a see through media with no secrets. “It’s a marvellous night for a Moondance”

The media star, Egill Helgason is delighted with the honour the the president of France, Emmanuel Macron game, but Egill received the Order National Du Merite, metal from the France ambassador yesterday.
The Exam elections for the Independence party in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland for the order of their list for next Congress election will be next weekend. Hunters seems to support the foreign minister, Gudlaugur Thor.
The eruptions in Reykjanes peninsula is still ongoing. There has been some evolution and now there is only one crater active. The behaviour of the crater is almost like a geyser.
The new festival song for the national party in Westman Islands is written and performed by the artist, Hreimur Orn Heimisson, and is called “Corridors in line”.
Dr Vilhjalmur Ari Arason has quit working on the Country Hospital ER. He has been working there for 40 years but says that an emergency situation is going on in the department and the patient is the hospital itself.
A yacht own by a German individual was caught on fire in a harbour in the east side of Iceland last night. No-one was in the yacht and has been in the harbour for a week.
Iceland lost for Mexico in a friendly international football match in the USA last weekend.

“Ten years”

Sergey Lavrov, the foreign secretary of Russia, and the foreign secretary of USA, Antony Blinken met in Reykjavik and had a dinner together in Harpa Music Hall.
A volcano expert says that Icelandic countryman can expect ten til twenty more eruptions in Reykjanes peninsula next two or three centuries. Two months are since the eruption started there and it is still going strong.
The tourist company Prime Tours is bankrupt.
Gudlaugur Victor, the football player is on his way to Schalke in Germany.
“This awards has a deep meaning for me” says the designer and musician, Gunnar Hilmarsson. He received the Indridaawards today for design of clothing.
The Icelandic TV series “Kalta” will be premiered at Netflix 17th of June, the Icelandic national day. The teaser for the series has been released world wide.
Reykjavik City Authorities has fallen from their idea of building kindergarten in the middle of a roundabout in the western part of the City.
Dadi and the Data Volume, the Icelandic entry in the Eurovision Song Contest went trough to the finals in Rotterdam tonight, even without going on stage.

“Somewhere over the rainbow”

The Middle Party Congressman, Gunnar Bragi thinks that it is strange that the Icelandic Eurovision Song Contest delegation got a permission to step in front of the line when it came to the Janssen covid injection.

The forrest cat, Leomundur, went to the eruption side last weekend. The cat went with his owners and was carried in a special cat backpack. Leomundur is probably the first cat to see the new volcano side.
A new musical with music from Frikki For will be in a theatre next summer in Reykjavik. The director, author and producer is Hoskuldur Thor Jonsson. Among the actors is Kroli, one half of the famous duet, Joi and Kroli.
The MP Sigmundur David thinks that Iceland as a nation is loosing control in the fight against organised crimes. He was watching Compas on the telly last night.

“Walk on the wild side”

The congressman Kolbeinn Ottarsson Proppe, a Left-Greenist, will not run for another term. The reason is the second Me-To revolution in Iceland. The congressman says that he did not behave probably in his relations with women in his past.
Today the eruption side area at Reykjanes peninsula will be closed to public, workers are fixing the walkway to the volcano.
Hildur Sverrisdottir has announced that she wants to run for the Independence Party in the upcoming elections. She is asking for a trust to be in the third place for the party in the capital constituency.
The football striker Kjartan Henry will join KR football club. He has been playing for Esbjerg in Denmark.
The fire department has been fighting agains a dry grass burn in the south west area of Iceland. Using helicopters with a water bucket, the water bucket got damaged so the fire department is trying to find another bucket from Sweden.
A wine merchant has compliant to the consumer office about the behaviour of the government own liquor store.
The candy fabric, Noi-Sirius, which is own by a Norwegian candy guys, has put on the market a very similar product as the Icelandic candy fabric Goa has been selling for years. The spokesman of Goa think that it is lame.

“Eight days a week”

The Icelandic candy fabric, Noi-Sirius hf is now fully owned by a Norwegian fellows, Orkla ASA. The CEO of the company, Finnur Geirsson will quit and Lasse Ruud-Hansen will be the main guy.
Two guys stole the tip jar in a restaurant down town Reykjavik yesterday.
Daddi Disco, a famous DJ from the eighties is turning records in the Injection Hall (Laugardalshöll) The purpose is to create a good spirit while the middle age people are getting their injection.
The City authorise in Reykjavik wants to build a kindergarten in the middle of a traffic roundabout in the western part in the City. The neighbourhood residents think so and so about the idea.
The Icelandic police says the organised crime groups is importing women in the prostitution game in Iceland. This is won of the most profitable sprouts in the crime industry.

“Swing low, sweet chariot”

Yesterday was the first of May in Iceland, the labour day in Iceland. Workers do not have to work today.
The author Stephen King says that it was a waste of a perfectly good drone to fly it into an active crater. That happened in the drone show that Bjorn Steinbekk did around the volcanic area near Fagradalsfjall (Beauty Valley Mountain).
The band Kaleo is the main sponsors of the football club Afturelding. The name of the band is on front of the jerseys.
The eruptions near Beauty Valley Mountain in the Reykjanes peninsula is going through some changes. Now there is only one active crater and is he acting strange sometimes.
126 women are on their way up to the highest peak of Iceland, Hvannadalshnukur which is on Wilderness Glacier. They are collecting money for The Cancer Institute.
An individual in a strange mode was throwing furniture from a balcony when the police had to put him in a jail cell.
The media star Gisli Marteinn put some hidden message in his last weekend show in the TV. He had a picture of princess Diana and a mug with a picture of person from the mummy elves on his side table.

“I can see clearly now”

90 students and their families are now in quarantine after a one fellow student got Covid. They are all in The Polytechnic School in Southland.
The old post office building downtown Reykjavik City will in the future be a food palace. The style will be a little bit France and a gourmet atmosphere will surround the food palace.
“Think About Things” the Eurovision song that never went on stage, the song that Dadi and the Data volume wrote has earn the artist a silver record in Great Britain. Over 200.000 copies have been sold there.
The new airline company “Play” will go in the air on the 24th of June. The first destination place is a top secret for now.
