For the first time in Iceland, The New York Times Best Seller author of the book Breath, James Nestor, will be sharing his in-depth research on the topic of Breath. Together with Dr. Susanna Søberg, author of the book Winter Swimming and an international leading expert in the science and use of cold and heat as stress management to increase health. Accident and Emergency Physician, Dr. Kristín Sigurðardóttir, discusses what stress is, how it benefits us and when it ceases to be useful. And health & Personal Development Coach, Vilhjálmur Andri Einarsson will be covering evidence-based Mind-Body techniques to learn how to be ok no matter what.
After the event in Harpa, attendees are invited to Nauthólsvík Geothermal Beach to put the knowledge from the lectures into practice. You will be guided into the cold sea, using breathwork, and learning warming-up techniques after the cold. As well as using the saunas, hot tubs, and steam baths.
