In honor of International Women’s Day,
this is for all the moms.
The moms who question “𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?” with hands raised in the air.
The moms who doubt, question, and overthink,
then do it as if it's a natural reflex, even though we're convinced we're doing it awkwardly or not right.
But we dig deep. We figure it out and persevere because that's what strong women do. It’s survival.
So, those women out there doubting the season of motherhood you’re in,
that career change,
or pursuing a passion—𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯.
Because mothers always will,
because we have to,
because we have no other choice,
and we’re stronger than we know.
Think about it,
when we’re in over our heads with a crying newborn up every two to three hours, so exhausted that we need more than a good night’s sleep to catch up, we manage to get up anyway, and we get through. It doesn’t matter how sore our bodies feel or how we have no idea what we’re doing. We feed and love on that baby the best way we know how — 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰.
When we're depressed and our brain feels foggy, we still get out of bed. We get everyone fed and clothed. We bring everyone to where they're supposed to be —𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰.
When our kids are not listening to us since they woke up, we’re shamed at the grocery store for a toddler tantrum and feel like we can’t do any of it anymore — 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰.
So, when you're sitting there questioning, “𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘮 𝘐 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴?”
Know time and time again has proven, WOMEN CAN and WE WILL.
Because every hard season comes and then goes, and we rise through the hard.
Mothers always persevere,
women always persevere,
𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.
