1️⃣ The word lavender comes from the Latin verb “lavare” which means “to wash”. Romans used to wash and clean their wound with lavender.

2️⃣ You can’t grow lavender from seeds. You have to cut a woody bit off and stick it into the ground.

3️⃣ Bees are attracted to lavender plants because they produce nectar and pollen, a valuable food source for bees. They use nectar to provide them with energy and turn into honey which is a bee’s food source during the colder, winter month. Without plants like lavender, bees would not survive.
